I am a writer and journalist.

As my dear mentor, Irwin Blacker at Southern Cal, always said, “A writer writes.”  I’ve written magazine articles, non-fiction books and screenplays.

A journalist gathers information from interviews, audio, video and text research, then presents what he or she has discovered.

My adventure in the samples shown in this new website is finding what I think is the heart of the story:

In the article about aging gracefully, “Risk and Reward,” I build up to the big idea in the last few paragraphs.
